The Shawn Stiffler era is in full swing as the 2022 roster is shaping into form, but the new Notre Dame staff is also on the road recruiting.
On Tuesday, 2024 St. Joseph High School (Ind.) outfielder Jayce Lee gave Notre Dame momentum on the recruiting trail as he committed to the Fighting Irish.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder hit .433 with 27 RBI, 27 runs, 26 hits, seven doubles, one triple and four home runs as a sophomore in 22 games. For his efforts, Lee was named 3A Honorable Mention All-State.
Lee has also seen a rise in his recruitment over the last few months as he recorded an exit velo of 94.6 and ran a 60 in 6.88 seconds in early June.
The St. Joe star also had one of the biggest at-bats in South Bend this spring as he hit a walk-off to advance in the State Tournament over rival Marian.

Notre Dame now has four commitments in the 2024 class as Lee will join RHP Calder Glassman, IF Jonathan Holt and IF Charlie Vercruysse.
Lee also plays for the Indiana Bulls, the same travel team that produced 2023 Notre Dame commit Drayk Bowen.
