One look at Tyler Parker‍ and it’s obvious why the 2025 California defensive tackle has gone viral.

Well, one look and one piece of information.

Parker is only 14 years old!!!

The 6-foot, 300-pounder isn’t only gaining attention on social media either. The Santa Margarita Catholic High School standout is also receiving attention from college recruiters.

Parker added an offer from Notre Dame last month to go with offers he already had from Cal, Arizona, Miami and a couple other schools.

Other schools that Parker is receiving serious interest from right now include Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, Texas A&M, LSU and Michigan State among others.

He learned of the offer during a conversation between his head coach, Anthony Rouzier, PPI Recruits Founder Brandon Collier and Irish defensive line coach Al Washington.

“Coach Washington offered me over the phone with Coach Anthony Rozier and Brandon Collier,” Parker explained.

Collier typically works to help prospects from Europe get college attention, but linked up with Parker through Rouzier.

"My head coach and Brandon Collier, they're best friends,” Parker explained. “They were roommates at UMass, so I just connected with (Collier) there. He came for a visit one day to visit Hero (Kanu) and he saw my practice. He just really liked me and I was 13 at that time, so we just started connecting from there.”

The Irish offer definitely caught Parker’s attention.

“It didn't feel real,” he acknowledged. “That's a big-time offer that not too many people can get just based off of the academics. It gave me props to know that I'm doing well in school for the coach to look at my transcript and to go ahead and offer me to the University of Notre Dame. It didn't feel real, but it was really, truly a blessing. I'm thankful that that has happened.”

Washington also made a tremendously strong impression.

“Man, I love Coach Washington,” Parker said. “In the time we had talked, Coach Washington dropped some really great knowledge on me that I was really appreciative for. He seems like a great defensive line coach and I'm really excited to get up on a visit there. I'm really excited to further the relationship. Notre Dame is for sure one of my top schools.”

Parker expects to visit South Bend as soon as he can.

“I will for sure be up there sometime soon to Notre Dame,” he said. “1,000 percent for a big-time game. I would 1,000 percent want to go to a game.

“Academics means a lot to me and my family. Football is really important and I know I'm doing really well at football, but academics means a lot to me.

“I'm really excited to go ahead and look at their Business School, since that's what I want to major in and just see how the hospitality is, how the coaches are, just get a feel for Coach Washington and Coach Freeman to see if that's somewhere where I'll want to play in 2025.”
