Eli's Places | Notre Dame Episode Airing on Wednesday on ESPN+
Eli Manning has quickly eased into life after football as the former NFL great has found a home on TV.
ESPN+ is the home of Eli’s Places, which will air Manning’s Notre Dame episode on Wednesday.
“I’m so excited to be back for Season 2 of Eli’s Places,” said Manning in a statement. “We’re featuring so many incredible athletes and impressive stories from campuses around the country, and we’re even unpacking a few secrets and myths along the way. There’s a lot for college football fans to look forward to.”
Secrets is a fitting word for the Notre Dame episode as Marcus Freeman and Brady Quinn give Manning and his brother, Peyton, the ins and outs of the Irish program.
The first lesson Quinn gives Manning is the history of Notre Dame Stadium, including a fun fact about why Knute Rockne didn’t want a track wrapping around the field.
Freeman makes his appearance by driving the Manning brothers and Quinn to Rockne’s house in South Bend in a classic Studebaker Rockne. Yes, Freeman continues to pull out all the stops.
The Mannings then take in a lesson on Rockne’s offense and Quinn busted out some authentic Rockne memorabilia, including the legendary gold whistle and a favorite play from Notre Dame’s iconic coach.
Omaha Productions and Manning were able to capture the essence of Notre Dame, while adding in some of that famous Eli humor throughout the episode.
You can check Episode 2 out on Wednesday, Aug. 17th on ESPN+. Manning will also visit BYU, Florida, Penn State and USC in Season 2 of Eli’s Places.
