Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees spoke following Saturday's practice.

On if he expects to have offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson to play:
“That’s up to Coach Freeman. I don’t answer those questions.” 

On issues Jim Knowles’ defense will present: 
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Knowles and the defenses he's put together all the way back to when he was at Duke.
