2025 LB/DE Keylan LaGrant Looking Forward To Notre Dame Trip
Keylan LaGrant knows a bit about Notre Dame, but the 2025 St. Louis defensive end/linebacker is excited to learn more when he visits for the Stanford game this weekend.
“I know an alum from my school plays for Notre Dame, so I was hoping to at least come into contact with coaches,” the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder told Irish Sports Daily this week.
LaGrant attends the same Lutheran High School that current Irish defensive lineman Gabriel Rubio did.
“We talked when he visited the school,” LaGrant said of Rubio. “He said he likes the program, he loves what he does and tells us that it is the right school for him.
“I know that it’s a really big school, big on academics, big on athletics. Growing up, it wasn’t one of the main schools I kept an eye on, but I’ve come to learn more about it.”
LaGrant is excited about seeing the Irish play against the Cardinal on Saturday night.
“I want to see how the defense plays and how the linebackers and d-line are moved around,” he said.
He already has offers from West Virginia, Arkansas and Boston College.
“I got them as a freshman, so it was real exciting,” he said. “I was getting congratulated by peers at schools. It was a nice feeling.”
While his ultimate position will likely depend on how his frame fills out, he acknowledges liking outside linebacker.
“I feel like it shows my athletic ability and still allows me to get physical,” he said.
This will be his first visit of the fall. It’s early, but he has an idea of what he’s looking for in a college.
“A school where I feel comfortable with the student body, the academics, the coaching staff. All of that is very important.”
