Notre Dame has been high on Kaj Sanders list since the Irish offered back in March.

The Irish are even higher on the 2024 New Jersey safety’s list after visiting for Saturday’s win over #4 Clemson.

“It went really good,” Sanders told Irish Sports Daily.

“They definitely upped themselves a lot. I still have a lot of choices, but they're definitely one of the main ones right now.”

Sanders made his first visit to Notre Dame back in April and enjoyed his return this weekend.

“This time, I got to see how loud the fans were, how electric the stadium is, how energetic the players are and how close the team is,” he said. “It was all amazing.

“You could just tell; one bad play and they were always like, 'Keep your head up.' Then, when a good play happened, they would always be there for you no matter what.”

Sanders enjoyed watching the Irish’s dominant 35-14 win over the Tigers.

“It was cool to see them win like that,” he said. “I knew that they were going to probably have a rough start to the season, but I knew they were eventually going to get back on track.”

The Bergen Catholic standout also had the chance to go inside the locker room after the win.

“That was amazing,” he said. “They did a prayer after and everything.”

Sanders was able to reconnect quickly with former Bergen Catholic teammate and current Irish freshman defensive back Jayden Bellamy.

Sanders’ offer sheet also includes schools like Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College Nebraska, Duke, Georgia Tech and Michigan State among others.

He’s already thinking about his next trip to South Bend.

“Probably an official visit later next year.”
