Signing Day | Notre Dame Baseball Signing Loaded Pitcher Class in 2023

It’s signing day and a big day for Notre Dame baseball as the Irish will sign a pitcher heavy 2023 class on Wednesday.

New Notre Dame head coach Shawn Stiffler and his staff did a great job keeping the core of the class together since his hiring in July, while also adding a few pieces in LHP Justin Mayes and RHP Keenan Mork.

Seven pitchers will ink with Notre Dame today, including two 6-foot-7 pitchers in Dennis Helwig and Hagan Ward. Noah Greenseid is also another big-time arm and a big body at 6-foot-4. Perhaps the hidden gem of the class and one of the most underrated players in the entire country is RHP Jack Radel out of South Dakota.

Radel committed to Notre Dame at the end of June and remained committed during the coaching change. The Sioux Falls native hit 94 mph on the radar gun last month, which is about two mph higher than in the summer.

LHP Tore Indomenico is also one to watch as he transferred to P27 Academy in South Carolina, which is the same school former Notre Dame pitcher Roman Kimball attended and grew his game significantly.

Shortstop Anthony Miller committed early to Notre Dame, but then backed off his pledge following Link Jarrett’s departure and then recommitted to Stiffler and his staff.

Berkeley Prep (Fla.) catcher Troy Reader is name Irish fans are familiar with and the Florida native had a significant part in holding the class together. Reader, who also plays quarterback, is a natural leader and his best ball is still ahead of him.

Carson Tinney is another catcher and his stock really took off during the summer. The Colorado native has a big bat and could make some noise early in his career at Notre Dame.
