The Irish wouldn’t have brought the 2023 Georgia athlete up for an official visit last weekend if they didn’t.

But, that wasn’t the complete focus of the visit.

And with Barnes arriving in South Bend with the ability to compare Notre Dame to places he’d been earlier in the process, the Irish’s approach was certainly helpful.

First, Notre Dame did not push for a commitment while Barnes was on campus.
