If you’re going to bring in three running backs in a single recruiting cycle, they better be dominating the high school scene.

Fortunately for Notre Dame, its three 2023 running back commits have been dominant all season and continue to be so during the postseason.

Jayden Limar‍ led Lake Stevens (Wash.) to a 42-27 over North Creek in the second round of the state playoffs.

Limar rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries while hauling in three passes for 52 more yards and another score.

Limar became the program’s all-time rushing leader during the win and now has 3,673 career rushing yards and 56 touchdowns. He’ll become the program’s all-time touchdown leader with his next score.

Limar and Lake Stevens have the state quarterfinals this weekend.

On the season, Limar has 1,467 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on 159 carries with 20 receptions for 213 yards and three scores.

LOVE KEEPS SHINING: Jeremiyah Love‍ only needed 11 carries to rack up 139 yards and three touchdowns in Christian Brothers’ 42-7 win over Marquette in the state quarterfinals.

Christian Brothers (Mo.) will play in the state semifinals on Saturday.

For the season, Love has 908 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 106 carries to go with 264 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 10 receptions.

DYLAN DOES HIS THING AGAIN: Dylan Edwards‍ has consistently produced eye-popping numbers this fall and did so again in Derby’s 36-21 win over Washburn rural in the state quarterfinals.

Edwards ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

Derby (Kan.) will play in the state semifinals on Friday.

On the season, Edwards has 1,764 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns on 170 carries. He’s caught 13 passes for another 205 yards and three scores. He also has a kickoff return for a touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown.

RICO, FOLSOM FLY ON: Wide receiver commit Rico Flores Jr.‍ helped his Folsom (Calif.) squad roll over Sheldon 52-8 in the second round of the state playoffs.

Flores caught five passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Next up for Folsom is the state semifinals on Friday.

For the season, Flores has 64 receptions for 963 yards and seven scores.

GREATHOUSE, WESTLAKE CONTINUE TO ROLL: Westlake (Texas) didn’t need a ton of offensive production from receiver commit Jaden Greathouse‍ to roll over Cedar Ridge 58-10 in the first round of the playoffs.

Greathouse managed four receptions for 52 yards while also returning a punt for a touchdown in the win.

Westlake will play in Round 2 on Friday.

For the season, Greathouse has 46 catches for 842 yards and touchdowns along with four punt returns for scores.

FLANAGAN, DE LA SALLE ADVANCES: Tight end commit Cooper Flanagan‍ and his De La Salle (Calif.) squad advanced to the second round of the state playoffs with a 40-14 win over James Logan Charter in Round 1.

Flanagan caught three passes for 63 yards.

De La Salle will play in Round 2 on Friday night.

On the season, Flanagan has 28 receptions for 440 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, he’s notched 39 tackles, including 9.5 behind the line of scrimmage, 3.5 sacks and an interception.

BOWEN, ANDREAN SURVIVE: Linebacker commit Drayk Bowen‍ had another monster game as Andrean (Ind.) beat Central Catholic 30-12 in the state quarterfinals.

Bowen ran for 227 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries at running back. He led his team with 10 tackles and picked off two passes on defense.

Next up for Andrean is the state semifinals on Friday night.

For the season, Bowen has 125 tackles, 13 for a loss, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions. Offensively, he has 1,331 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns to go with 9 catches for 216 yards and three touchdowns.

BOWEN, GUYER SURVIVE: Safety commit Peyton Bowen‍ didn’t need to do a ton as Guyer (Texas) beat Marcus 42-7 in the first round of the state playoffs.

Bowen did pick off a pass and register six tackles during the win.

Next up for Guyer is the second of the state playoffs on Friday night.

On the season, Bowen has 61 tackles, 3 for a loss, 4 interceptions, a kick return for a touchdown and 3 punt returns for scores.
