2024 CB Mike Smith Talks Notre Dame Return
After visiting Notre Dame for the Irish’s win over Clemson, Mike Smith was back in South Bend for the Irish’s home finale against Boston College this past weekend.
“It was fun,” the 2024 Ohio cornerback told ISD. “They had activities and all that in the practice facility. It was just a little chilly. It was cold.”
The weather wasn’t all that foreign to the Dayton, Ohio native.
The Trotwood-Madison High School standout already has offers from schools like Duke, Ball State, Miami-Ohio, Bowling Green and UMass among others.
He had the chance to catch up with a couple Irish staffers on his most recent visit.
“I talked to a couple of the recruiters,” Smith said. “They weren't really saying anything about recruiting. They were just talking to me and being open basically.”
Smith was once again impressed with the environment inside Notre Dame Stadium.
“I liked it,” he said. “This was like my third or fourth time and it's been the same every time.”
That’s part of the reason Smith keeps coming back.
“It's the atmosphere, honestly,” the 5-foot-9, 150-pounder said. “I like the people I just like the vibe.”
And we wants to return again.
“I want to come back up for a camp and get the offer,” he said. “It would mean a lot to me and my family.”
Smith doesn’t have any other visits on the schedule at this point.
