Film Don't Lie | Christopher Terek
Notre Dame wanted to make sure they landed another offensive lineman and they just flipped former Wisconsin commit Christopher Terek to fill that void.
A massive mauler who has experience playing rugby and wrestling, Terek is a future interior offensive lineman for the Irish and fits the identity of what Notre Dame wants to be up front.
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 295
Projected Position: Guard
ISD Grade: 89 (3-star)
National Average Grade: 88.3 (3-star)
What he does best:
Terek is BIG, but he moves a lot better than most people his size. He can fire off the ball with leverage.
He’s a finisher in the run game. He wants to put people on the ground or drive them completely out of the play. Terek literally blocks this defender off the screen on film.
There are plenty of examples of him moving defenders at the point of attack, but he can get out to the second level as well and if he locks up on a linebacker, it’s over.
What he needs to improve:
I think he’s going to take some time to develop in pass protection. I see some good awareness from him on some reps, but he needs to develop his footwork and can play a little bit straight up at times.
What’s his ceiling?
Terek is one of these players who will walk on to campus with an NFL frame, but his journey at Notre Dame will all be about development. He has the mentality to be a great run blocker, but he’ll need to develop as a pass protector in order to become a starter.
I think he’s a natural fit at guard. He slimmed down to under 300 pounds, but should easily be able to put on some good weight and be 320+ in a couple of years. I love his toughness and I think he has the potential to compete for a starting job after a couple of years on campus.
