Notre Dame football added to its rich history on Thursday afternoon as tight end Michael Mayer and defensive end Isaiah Foskey became the program's 107th and 108th Consensus All-Americans.

Mayer, who will enter the 2023 NFL Draft, will finish his Notre Dame career with 180 receptions for 2,099 yards and 18 touchdowns, which also includes making a reception in all 36 games in the blue and gold. The 180 catches place him No. 3 on Notre Dame’s all-time receptions list only behind Michael Floyd (271) and TJ Jones (181).

Foskey tallied 122 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss and 26.5 sacks during his time in South Bend. The California native will leave as Notre Dame’s all-time leader in sacks as he broke Justin Tuck’s record in the home finale against Boston College.

In 2022, Foskey recorded 45 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Mayer led the Irish in receptions (67), receiving yards (809) and receiving touchdowns (9) this fall.
