This National Signing Day may not be without dramatics for Notre Dame.

As the Irish, Oklahoma and Oregon continue to battle it out for Peyton Bowen‍, there’s a very good chance everybody will find out where the five-star Texas safety will be going at the same time on Wednesday.

The only other current Notre Dame target in question is Jayden Limar‍ and after talking with multiple sources over the course of the past week, there really doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of question regarding what the Washington running back will do.

Limar took a visit to Oregon this past weekend and sources connected to multiple sides of the equation agree that he’s most likely to sign with the Ducks on Wednesday. Notre Dame running backs coach Deland McCullough was scheduled to do an in-home visit with Limar last week. We were told to keep an eye on whether McCullough took the flight out to the Pacific Northwest as an indicator of where things were likely headed and he never did take that flight.

The Lake Stevens High School running back hasn’t officially announced his decommitment from the Irish, but that may be a formality at this point.

“It is what it is,” one source told us.

While Notre Dame believes Limar is a good player, the Irish don’t seem too broken up by the prospect of him heading elsewhere. They feel comfortable with what they’re getting in Missouri running back Jeremiyah Love, not to mention the current depth in their running back room.
