2024 WR Jo'Ziah Edmond Stands Out At National Combine
Prior to the National Combine, Jo'Ziah Edmond said he was hoping to see his recruitment pick up when college coaches are able to get back on the road evaluating prospects.
“Everything's going good so far,” the 2024 Indiana wide receiver said before the event. “I'm talking to a lot more coaches.
“Hopefully when they can come back into school, it opens up a lot more than what it is right now.”
After the National Combine, there’s no doubt the 2024 Indiana wide receiver will see his recruitment pick up.
The Northwood High School wideout was one of the stars of the event at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Saturday and earned MVP honors for wide receiver.
Edmond entered the event with offers from schools like Baylor, Ole Miss and Iowa State among others.
The 6-foot-1, 183-pounder was in South Bend for the Irish’s win over UNLV this past fall.
“Notre Dame, it's amazing,” he said. “They treat everybody there like a family. They bring you in, welcome you. Everything about Notre Dame is just amazing.
Edmond has stayed in touched with some of the Irish staffers and the message is a simple one.
“Basically, stay in school, get my grades right, keep everything good and move on from there,” he said.
He wants to get back to South Bend at some point to get a closer look inside the program and the school.
“A little bit how their academics work, how their coaching staff is, if anyone's leaving or staying and that's it,” he said.
Edmond is also hoping to visit Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State among other schools.
He doesn’t have a timeline for narrowing his list or making a final decision.
