2025 ATH Andre Lovett Likes What He's Seen From Notre Dame So Far
It’s early, but Andre Lovett has enjoyed the recruiting process so far.
“It's going amazing,” the 2025 Illinois athlete says. “Many schools have been reaching out to me, following me on Twitter, just staying updated with me.”
Lovett has early offers from Tennessee, Missouri and Akron while also receiving recent interest from schools Georgia, Cincinnati, Wisconsin and others.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder from Eisenhower High School can do a lot on the field, but does have a preference, which seems to line up with how colleges view him.
“Safety because I'm a physical player,” he says. “I love hitting, so it's my favorite position.”
Lovett has visited South Bend twice in the past two years and enjoyed both trips.
“Just the experience with the fans and the campus,” he says. “I love the campus. It's beautiful. The first game, I went to USC last year. The second game this year when they played Boston College, the snow game. That was amazing.”
Lovett will continue to stay in contact with the Irish staff and says an offer from Notre Dame would be huge for him.
“It would mean a lot because education can take me a lot further than four years,” he says. “They say you put in four years, you get 40 out of it.”
Lovett hopes to have a final decision by the end of his junior year.
“A big thing about it will be family, a place that makes me feel at home.”
