2024 LB Brian Huff Talks Notre Dame Offer, Visit Plans
It makes sense that Brian Huff is precise when it comes to his height and weight.
It helped the 2024 Arkansas linebacker land an offer from Notre Dame last week.
“We've been texting for about three weeks now,” Huff said of himself and Irish defensive coordinator Al Golden.
“He asked for my transcripts, so I sent it to him. He ended up asking my trainer, if my height and weight was real. So, we took a picture and I was the measurements I said I was.”
Those measurements were 6 feet, 3.5 inches and 221.2 pounds.
Huff spoke to Golden on the phone later in the day from Valley View High School.
“He just let me know I was offered,” Huff said of Golden. “That was awesome. It's a great school, great campus, great college atmosphere. It was amazing, so I was super excited.”
Golden also has offers from schools like Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Memphis and Arkansas State. Most schools see Huff as an outside linebacker while at least one sees him as a defensive end/linebacker hybrid.
He’s looking forward to getting to South Bend.
“I'm definitely going to get up there pretty, pretty soon,” he said. “I'd like to get up there in the next couple weeks to get to see the coaches in real life, talk to them.”
His last visit was to Oklahoma State in the fall.
Huff has a few other visits in mind coming up.
“I'll probably be going back to Mizzou, Arkansas, Notre Dame,” he said. “I'm most likely going to LSU and back to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma University.”
Huff is planning to make a decision toward the end of his senior season and knows what he’ll be looking at.
“Who has the best relationship with me? Who I think cares for me the most? Not about just me playing football, who actually cares about me and my wellbeing.”
