While back at his old stomping grounds last week and Chansi Stuckey came across one of the area’s next big stars.

The Warner Robins, Ga., native ended up leaving an offer for 2025 Georgia quarterback Antwann Hill‍, a fellow Warner Robins native, during Stuckey’s stop at Houston County High School on Thursday.

“It was actually surprising because I didn’t expect to get a Notre Dame offer that quick,” Hill said. “I know it’s hard and you have to be very smart to get in that school and have the grades, which I’ve got.

“It feels good seeing him come back and give opportunities to kids like me down here in the area. We don’t get the attention the Atlanta area gets. It’s good to see him come down here and see the talent in middle Georgia.”

The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder also has offers from schools like Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas A&M among others.

Hill knows a bit about the Irish already.

“I know they always are going to have a great o-line,” he said. “I already know if I go there, I’ll have a great o-line. I don’t know the quarterbacks really well. The last quarterback I know was Ian Book and he led them to the (Playoff).”

But he doesn’t know a ton.

“I see they run the ball very well,” said Hill. “They do a good job running the ball. I’ve got to watch them more as we go to see more about their passing game and see how it would fit me, what concepts they run that I like.”

He’s hoping to visit South Bend soon to learn more about everything soon.

“I’m trying to get up there. I’ll probably set something up in the spring so I can see the campus, see the school, how the school system works and what they do to develop a quarterback like me.”

During the season, he made trips to Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

He’s trying to lock in spring visits now.

“I’m just trying to figure that out right now, just trying to set up visits for spring; talking to my trainer and my dad and my parents, just trying to set that up,” he said.

It’s still very early in the process, especially for Hill, who intends to take all of the time he needs to come up with a final decision.

“Everyone is the same right now. The process is moving slow right now. I’ll probably end up committing maybe senior year Signing Day.”
