Big-Time 2025 LB Gavin Nix Would Have Interest In Notre Dame

Gavin Nix‍ already has a dozen offers, but the 2025 linebacker isn’t taking anything for granted.

“It's going great,” the IMG Academy star said. “Overall, I would say it's a blessing to be in the position that I'm in. I just want to keep excelling…I'm just looking forward to going up from there.

“Like I said, it's just really a blessing. All of my hard work has been paying off. All I can say is a blessing. I just want to keep working and keep going up and staying humble.”

Nix made stops at Florida State, Miami, Florida, South Carolina and Auburn for games during the fall.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder has a few schools in mind to visit in the coming months.

“I've been talking to Michigan a lot,” he said. “I want to get to Michigan, Penn State. Obviously, everybody's offered me, but I'm looking forward to going up to Ohio State and more schools up north. I've been to a lot of schools down south, so I want to go up north more.”

Nix’s current offer sheet includes schools like Florida, Florida State, Miami, Kentucky, Penn State and Michigan among others.

He’s heard a little bit from Notre Dame so far.

“Early in my season, I heard from them,” he said of the Irish. “I haven't been in contact with them recently, but I was keeping contact with them earlier on in my season.”

It’s a school he’d certainly consider.

“I'm big on academics and I know Notre Dame is a great school for academics, so Notre Dame is somewhere I would definitely consider.”
