Notre Dame Continues To Make 2024 Jeremiah McClellan Priority
Jeremiah McClellan has been one of Notre Dame’s very top targets for a while now and the Irish want the 2024 Missouri receiver to know he still is.
That’s one reason why Notre Dame wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey was back at Christian Brothers College in St. Louis last month.
Extensive in-person contact is restricted at this point in the calendar, but in addition to his stop at the school, Stuckey and McClellan have remained in consistent contact over the phone.
“That I'm a priority and he wants to get me back down there,” McClellan said of Stuckey’s general message. “Getting me down there to campus to see spring ball again.
Stuckey showing up again in St. Louis showed McClellan that he is being honest.
“He really means what he says,” McClellan said. “I feel wanted to by him.
“He's a great person. He just loves the kids. I really appreciate him.”
McClellan does plan on getting back to South Bend this spring.
“Just seeing the atmosphere again, seeing how the coaches coach,” he said.
He visited Oregon recently – “It was cool. I liked it.” – and he has a couple other schools in mind for trips.
“I think I'm going to Clemson and Miami,” he said before adding that he doesn’t have any dates locked in yet.
McClellan doesn’t have timelines for narrowing his list or making a final decision either.
“Everything's up in the air.”
