Coach | Notre Dame Has A Shot At Top 2025 WR Target Jaime Ffrench

There is no doubt Jaime Ffrench‍  will be an elite national prospect.

In fact, with offers from schools like Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M, the 2025 Florida is already.

“He's got God-given talent,” Mandarin High School head coach Toby Bullock says. “His body control is elite.

“Terrell Owens made a comment one time that he wasn't a natural catcher. He had to work on it to be as good as he is to be a Hall of Famer. Jaime is a natural catcher.”

But the 6-foot, 165-pounder doesn’t consider himself a finished product, not even as a pass-catcher.

“He works at it constantly,” says Bullock. “He's naturally gifted at what he does, but then he trains and plays 7-on-7 and does those things. Those are just practice reps of allowing him to be able to do what he does naturally. He's very gifted.”

And he’s simply a bright kid off the field, according to his coach.

“He's a very upbeat young man, generally has a smile on his face,” says Bullock. “Doesn't have many low moments. You get some kids that ride their emotions like a roller coaster. He's generally pretty high most of the time. He's just fun to be around.”

Ffrench and 2024 cornerback Jon Mitchell‍ are both top targets for the Irish and Mandarin has multiple other players with Division-I offers with the same mentalities.

“We're very, very fortunate right now at our high school that our superstars are some of our harder workers,” Bullock says. “That's a blessing to have.”

Ffrench, the younger brother of former Pitt receiver Maurice Ffrench, has plenty of options and location won’t be a deciding factor in his choice.

“With camps and how football's done in high school now, it's so different than it was 20 years ago,” Bullock says. “Going places just doesn't seem as big a deal as it once was. Miami doesn't have a lock on Miami anymore.

“So, I think Notre Dame, if they have build the right relationships and they demonstrate the right things, I think they have as good a chance as anybody.”

Judging by Ffrench’s initial reaction to the Irish offer, they’re off to a good start.

“It was priceless,” he told ISD of the offer. “I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe it at all. I couldn’t believe it.

“There’s just something about Notre Dame, the fans, there’s just something about it.”
