Coach | 2024 Notre Dame WR Target Josiah Brown “Somebody You Want 11 Of"

Andre West is clear about it.

Josiah Brown‍ is a player every coach would be lucky to have.

“He’s intelligent and he’s very twitchy,” the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at New York’s Holy Trinity Diocesan says.

“Every year he’s getting better. When he first walked into our building to now, he's so advanced right now. It's amazing.”

Not only is the 2024 receiver a great athlete and player, he’s also a great teammate and person. 

“He’s somebody you’d want your daughter to marry,” West says. “The freshmen who came in, the sophomores, he's the one who’s leading them, making sure that they understand what's going on.

“He’s somebody that you want 11 of on your team.”

Those personality traits, along with his play on the field are why the 6-foot, 170-pounder was able to put out a Top 10 list earlier this week that includes Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina, Nebraska, Miami, Duke, Syracuse, Penn State, Georgia and Rutgers.

When asked why Notre Dame is on Brown’s list, West says, “I think the coaches over there, the atmosphere, the school, the tradition, the education.”

Brown is a player who not only understands the idea of being a great football player, but also attending a good academic school with great tradition.

With Brown’s senior year coming up, he would like to get his decision made before the start of the season.

“He'll take maybe a couple more and then he'll sit down with his mother and father and pretty much make up his mind of where he wants to go.”
