Josiah Brown‍ is a highly-touted recruit who has held a Notre Dame offer since St. Patrick's day in 2022.

The 2024 New York receiver recently released a top 10 list that includes Notre Dame, Michigan Georgia, and South Carolina among others.

“It was just how they recruited me now,” Brown said in regard to why he named each school in his top 10.

“The love they showed to me and my family. Football-wise, those are all great football schools.”

Concerning the Irish and why they were included in his top 10 list, the Holy Trinity Diocesan standout understands the power of Notre Dame goes far beyond the football program.

“I really like Notre Dame,” he says. “I know they have a very good academic program over there. They also have great football and they have a good leader with Coach (Marcus) Freeman.”

Brown’s main contact at Notre Dame is wide receiver coach Chansi Stuckey and he  appreciates Stuckey’s love for the game.

“He's a great coach,” Brown says. “I could tell he is a leader. He's really serious about his craft, and he loves the game of football.”

The highly-touted receiver is not only being recruited by Chansi Stuckey and the rest of the Notre Dame staff, but by 2024 commit quarterback commit CJ Carr as well.

“He really welcomes me to Notre Dame,” Brown says about the 2024 signal-caller. “He wants to be able to throw me the ball.”

Brown will be back in South Bend before decision time as he wants “to be around the players already there, so I can get a feel for how they are and see what they like about the school.”

The 6-foot, 170-pounder plans on visiting each school in his Top 10 this spring and summer before he makes a decision.
