2024 ATH Oliver Miles Talks Notre Dame Offer, What’s Next
Oliver Miles III has recently begun receiving Power 5 offers and this past week the 2024 Texas athlete added one from Notre Dame.
Miles was offered by Irish Director of Recruiting Chad Bowden over the phone on March 1st.
“He was telling me about their campus and about the area around there,” Miles says. “He said he feels like I have a lot of talent and that school is a really good fit for me.”
The Texas athlete believes Notre Dame could be a great fit as well and said Bowden also explained the academic importance of Notre Dame.
“I feel like it could benefit me a lot in the future,” he says. “He said I would graduate with a degree compared to Harvard.”
While the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is listed as an athlete, the Irish are recruiting him at cornerback as well as safety.
The El Campo standout says he plans on making a visit to South Bend sometime in the coming months.
“I would have to look into it,” he told ISD. “But I think I can get up there probably this summer or something.”
Miles is looking forward to checking out the campus and facilities.
While Miles has not visited many schools to date, but is likely to have a busy spring.
“I haven't really, really looked into a school,” the athlete says. “But, I'll start to pick that up this spring and the summer.”
With his recruitment just starting to pick up, Miles does not have too many specifics, but does know what he wants in a school.
“Just a school that brings joy to me…a school that feels like home or a school that has a really nice campus.”
