When Jaime Ffrench‍ received an offer from Notre Dame back in December, the 2025 Florida receiver told Irish Sports Daily he wanted to visit South Bend.

And, now he will be.

The Mandarin High School star is set to visit Notre Dame on March 25th, along with his friend, teammate and fellow Irish target, 2024 cornerback Jon Mitchell‍.

“It was really just a me and Jon type of thing,” Ffrench explains. “Jon was going to be up there at the same time.”

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has kept in close contact with Notre Dame receivers coach Chansi Stuckey and Director of Recruiting Chad Bowden.

“We've been on the phone a lot,” says Ffrench. “I've been calling them a lot. Having them talk every week. Just keeping that bond, keeping it growing.

“They're real good guys. They are really good coaches too. On and off the field, they know what they're doing. They know their players and keep a good bond with their players.”

Ffrench is looking forward to learning more about the program.

“Really just the other coaches in the room,” he says of what he wants to see. “I only know like four of them, just to see other coaches in the room, see how they treat each other and stuff like that. Just see how, how it is day in, day out, are they family orientated? Stuff like that.”

He has offers from schools like Florida, Florida State, Miami, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Texas A&M among several others, but the Notre Dame offer seems special to him.

“They don't really offer kids,” he says. “Coach Stuckey is really after me, I just feel like it's a blessing. It's a blessing.”

Ffrench was at Alabama this past weekend. He’ll be at Penn State the week before he gets to South Bend and is trying to check out Clemson the week after.

He isn’t shy about acknowledging he’d be intrigued by going to the same school as Mitchell.

“No doubt,” he says. “I mean, we are partners, why not? I wouldn't doubt it.”

Ffrench says he’s “a lot better” because of going up against Mitchell in practice.

“He's a good guy,” he says of Mitchell. “His speed is out of the roof. He knows how to cover, how to breakdown, make good tackles, and stuff like that.

“He's always trying to help me get better. I'm always trying to help him get better. So, it's just helping each other get to the next level is really what we are big on.”
