Even though it is early in the cycle, Deuce Knight‍ has already started compiling big-time offers from schools such as Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Oregon.

The 2025 Mississippi quarterback will visit Notre Dame on April 1st to see all the Irish have to offer.

The highly-touted play-caller was contacted in February by Director of Recruiting Chad Bowden.

“He wanted me to come up there, he thinks I'm really talented,” Knight says. “He was like, ‘I think you are one of the top quarterbacks in this class.’”

Knight has gotten to know Bowden throughout the process and thinks very highly of him.

“Chad is a really cool guy,” he says. “When you are talking to him, you are just talking to like a friend or something.

“You wouldn't even think he is a coach the way he talks to you.”

Knight is aware of the history of Notre Dame, but wants to to explore the university and everything that comes with it for himself.

“I just know historically speaking, they're a great school,” Knight tells ISD. “They compete for nattys, so I just want to go up there and see how it is.”

The Mississippi native is excited to be toward the top of Notre Dame’s board.

“It's crazy really, because Notre Dame, that's a big-time school,” the quarterback says. “It is just crazy.”

Knight has not only been in contact with Bowden, but has also been in touch with offensive coordinator Gerad Parker, and new quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli.

“I have talked to Coach Parker a couple of times,” he says. “I talk to Coach Guidugli a lot, probably two times a week.”

Knight is just getting to know Guidugli, but feels as though Guidugli and Bowden are similar.

“He's just the same way Coach Chad is,” Knight says. “He doesn't even need to talk football.”

The George County High School standout knows what an offer from the Irish would mean.

“That'd mean a lot to me,” he says. “That's like one of the top offers you can get in college football.”

Knight plans to make it down South this spring for visits to Tennessee and Texas A&M as well as possible visits to Auburn and South Carolina to go along with the visit to South Bend.

Knight is highly-sought by coaches throughout the nation, who are blown away by his impressive athleticism and smooth performance on the field.

“Everytime I talk to a coach, they tell me how I played it looked like I'm not even trying out there, they just like how smooth I play and stuff like that.”
