Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman spoke following Wednesday’s practice. 

On adding a GM to the program:
“Jack (Swarbrick) hasn’t told me about a general position. We have a director of player personnel position that Dave Peloquin was in and obviously he is in a different role and position. We’re looking to hire a DPP. We’ve interviewed a couple guys and hopefully make a decision by the end of this week.
