After experiencing Notre Dame’s win over Clemson last fall, Noah Mikhail‍ said he’d be back in South Bend.

On Tuesday, the 2025 California linebacker returned.

“It was a great visit,” the elite prospect told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “We got there at about 6:30 am and left about (5:30). We went around the whole school, got to visit with a lot of the coaches. It was overall just a great visit.

“We saw the whole school, sat down with basically every coach for my position.”

The Bonita High School star has offers the Irish along with USC, UCLA, Stanford, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and several others.

He had the opportunity to speak with defensive coordinator Al Golden, head coach Marcus Freeman as well as staff members Caleb Davis and Max Bullough.

“We watched practice in the morning,” Mikhail explained. “It was just a great environment, great visit.”

His chat with Golden was a good one.

“It was great getting to sit down with him for the first time and actually chop it up and just talk to him about things,” said Mikhail. “They were run kind of like a 4-3, so they really see me fitting in as a hybrid.

“It's basically doing everything, so that's what I like to hear.”

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder also enjoyed the time he spent with Freeman.

“Just really getting to sit down with him and talk obviously football, but talk a little deeper about Notre Dame and just the history and about myself and himself as well was just great,” he said.

Mikhail says he’ll continue building relationships with the Irish staff and hopes to be back for another game this fall.

He visits Michigan and Ohio State later this week before stops at USC and then Miami and Florida later this month.

The Irish certainly helped themselves on Tuesday.

“It was a very enjoyable visit.”
