2025 WR Taz Williams Recaps Notre Dame Visit

Taz Williams‍ visited Notre Dame over the weekend and the 2025 Texas wide receiver came away impressed with what he saw both on and off the field in South Bend.

Williams, who has received offers from multiple top programs, including Notre Dame, Texas A&M, TCU, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, and Oregon, had a "flawless" visit despite the rainy weather for Saturday’s Blue-Gold Game.

During the trip, he met with Notre Dame receivers coach Chansi Stuckey, who he continues to develop a close relationship with.

"It was great meeting him in person," Williams said of Stuckey. "I really picked up on his personality, and I really like it a lot."

The Red Oak High School standout also had a quick conversation with head coach Marcus Freeman so each could put a face with the name.

Williams was impressed with the run/pass ratio he saw from the Irish offense under quarterback Sam Hartman during the spring game.

"I like it a lot," he said. "In the new offense, they're going to be airing it out more. I'm just excited to see that in the future."

Off the field, Williams was struck by the support Notre Dame provides to its student-athletes beyond their football careers.

"I met a lot of players who played there," he said. "They were telling me about what Notre Dame brings to life after football. That really stood out to me.

“I know football won't last forever. When it's over, it's over, and you're going to need something to lean back on, something to do after football. Making sure you're set before football's over is important, so you have something to do with your life."

Williams plans to take his time with the recruiting process and make a return trip to Notre Dame for a game in the fall.

"I'm definitely going to get back out there," he said.

He spent the entire weekend in the Midwest and also made stops at Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue.
