2025 Safety Jadon Blair Talks Notre Dame

JaDon Blair‍ landed an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday.

The 2025 North Carolina safety’s size and athleticism caught the attention of the Irish safeties coach Chris O’Leary, who made his way to Mount Tabor High School before leaving the offer and a message for Blair.

"He liked my size and liked how long I am, like the previous safety who went to The League, to the Ravens," Blair said of O’Leary’s message, which referenced Kyle Hamilton.

Blair was thrilled to receive an offer from Notre Dame and sees himself potentially fitting in well with the program.

"I was very excited,” the 6-foot-4, 182-pounder said. “I'm not going to even lie to you because to see a safety at my size at Notre Dame, I can relate to that. I was really blessed to receive an offer from them because I could see myself in that program."

Blair pointed to Notre Dame’s reputation’s as a football powerhouse as one thing that struck him.

"In my opinion, it is a football school,” he said. “I know they have great relationships with The League, but also they have great relationships with the players. I can see myself being a high-level football player at that school, Notre Dame."

While Blair has yet to schedule a visit to Notre Dame, he is looking forward to meeting the coaching staff in person.

"The next step is probably to go down there and see what the coaching is really like,” he said. “I don't know when yet, but I'm looking forward to going down there and meeting all the coaches along with Coach O'Leary."

Blair has already visited several other schools, including Penn State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, VCU, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech, but doesn’t have any other trips set yet.

"They're all coming to the school right now, so not really, no," he said.

Blair is looking for a program that values relationships, academics, and football development, which is exactly what he sees in Notre Dame.
