Teddy Rezac‍ isn’t shy about his interest in Notre Dame.

“It's definitely really high,” the 2024 Nebraska linebacker says.

“I was telling Coach Max (Bullough) that Notre Dame and Stanford have been two of my dream schools for a couple years now. It's really cool that I'm starting to talk to them.”

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder from Omaha added an offer from the Irish late last week.

“The ability to play at a high level of football,” he says of his interest in the Irish. “I know Notre Dame's technically not Power Five because they're not in conference, but that's like the highest level football you can get. When you pair that with a great degree, it's a really good combination.”

The Westside High School standout arrived in South Bend for a visit on Sunday night. He was set to visit with head coach Marcus Freeman last night before touring campus all day today.

“I want to meet all the coaches who I'd be around a lot,” he told ISD before the visit. “I think building relationships would be the biggest thing when I want to go look somewhere. Also, I want to check out the campus and see how it feels, see if it gives off that vibe that it could potentially be where I stay for four, five years.”

In recent weeks, the contact has been heating up between the Irish and Rezac, who also has offers from schools like Boston College, Missouri, Army, Navy, Air Force and Ivy League schools.

The message from the Notre Dame coaching staff has been a simple one.

“Just, 'It's a special place. If you get out here and see it, you'll understand what's so cool about it,’” Rezac explained.

He’s already visited Boston College, Iowa State and North Dakota State, but hadn’t scheduled any other visits besides this one to Notre Dame because of baseball.
