In-State 2025 PF Trent Sisley Ready To See Notre Dame
Trent Sisley will hit a pair of Midwestern schools this week as the 2025 Indiana power forward is set to visit Northwestern on Wednesday and Notre Dame on Thursday.
The 6-foot-8, 205-pounder holds scholarship offers from each program along with several other top schools including Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, Ohio State and Wisconsin among others.
The Heritage Hills High School standout received his offer from the Irish back in April directly from head coach Micah Shrewsberry.
“It was cool to talk to Shrewsberry on the phone,” Sisley says. “Obviously, it meant a lot. Notre Dame is one of the in-state schools and you kind of watch them more and hear about it more and stuff like that. So it was cool to get an offer from Notre Dame.
“Being able to talk to head coach is always good.”
The Santa Claus, Ind., native has never visited South Bend, so he’s looking forward to this week’s trip.
“I think it should be good,” he says. “I've never been up there, so just to see everything for the first time and see some of the basketball side of stuff and obviously, the campus and stuff.”
He already has an early understanding of what to expect from a basketball standpoint.
“Shrewsberry obviously has his guys playing the right way and not playing like robots,” says Sisley. “Being able to stretch the floor and knock down shots.
“That is kind of what they like about me and I can also do a little bit of everything.”
Sisley doesn’t have any firm timelines for a final decision.
“Probably going into my senior year, maybe the beginning of my senior year,” he says.
But he does have a good idea of what he’s looking for.
“Obviously a good fit, somewhere I can play or have a chance to play,” he says. “And then also, academics.
“Really just those three things.”
