Cole Geer‍ has proven himself plenty, but the 2025 quarterback from Deerfield Academy will be looking to do so once again on Sunday at Notre Dame’s Irish Invaison.

“I'm excited,” the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “It's been on the list for a while.

“This is big. Notre Dame's been a dream school of mine since I was little. Now, it's finally time where I'm in a position where I can get out there and compete with the best of the best and hopefully open some eyes.”

Geer currently has offers from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, Yale, UConn and UMass. But as he said, Notre Dame is a school he’s had his eye on for years.

“It's obviously a very historical school,” he said. “It's a great academic spot like Deerfield Academy. I want to go somewhere where I can be backed up by academics, but also an awesome football program. And I believe that Notre Dame is a great spot for both.

“They produce quarterbacks well, and they also get them great education.”

Last month, Geer competed at an Elite 11 Regional and left with the event’s highest SPARQ score (111.15), a measure of overall athleticism.

“Obviously, after the Elite 11, I feel very confident in my athletic ability, so hopefully I get out there and pop a good 40 time,” he said. “I'm obviously gonna jump high. I'm going throw well, but, the biggest thing for me is being able to showcase that I can put the ball anywhere it needs to be.

“I feel like people believe that my accuracy is a little shaky, so I'm excited to get out there and be able to show that I can put the ball in the right spot at the right time.”

After Invasion, Geer has plans to camp at Virginia and North Carolina.
