2025 OH LB Eli Lee Ready To Show Notre Dame What He Can Do
Eli Lee is excited for the opportunity to compete at Sunday’s Irish Invasion.
“I've always just liked Notre Dame,” the 2025 Ohio linebacker says. “Obviously it's a great school and everything with great football.
“I'm just hoping to show them that I'm good enough to compete and be at their school and play for them.”
The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder already has offers from West Virginia, Iowa State, Akron and UMass.
“I'm excited about them,” he says. “Obviously, I'm blessed to have those offers, but I just hope it is the tool to help me unlock more offers from the bigger schools and just go to a big college.
“That's been the goal since the beginning to go and play big.”
The Archbishop Hoban High School standout is looking forward to being able to showcase his talents.
“I'm a downhill player,” he says. “I'm a run-stopper. Obviously, I've been working on quickness, agility, my pass coverage skills and everything over the offseason, but my main strong suit, where I think I could be the best is my downhill running and run-stopping.”
And he’s looking forward to learning more about Notre Dame while in South Bend.
“I'm really excited to just look around the campus before and after,” he says. “My uncle's a huge Notre Dame fan and he wants to show me some stuff around there. He's going to be coming with me.
“Obviously, I want to see at least a little bit of their facilities and their practice stuff.”
After Notre Dame, Lee will be making camp appearances at Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
