Bodie Kahoun Recaps Notre Dame Official Visit

2024 Patrick Henry (Va.) linebacker Bodie Kahoun‍ made two trips from the East Coast to South Bend during the spring, but last weekend’s trip to Notre Dame was different. 

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder arrived on campus for his official visit as Notre Dame commit and all the stresses of making a college decision were fully behind him. 

“My mom, dad and I all said it felt different for sure,” Kahoun told ISD. “We weren’t stressed out about the process anymore - only focused now on being the best student-athlete I can be at Notre Dame.” 

Kahoun instead of finding answers to his questions or comparing Notre Dame to other schools, the two-sport star was able to build bonds with his future teammates and coaches, including 2024 linebacker commit Teddy Rezac‍. 

“The 2024 class is really shaping up,” stated Kahoun. “Great group of guys. We got to spend a lot of time together during and in between meetings and activities. Felt like we hit it off.” 

As a commit, Kahoun also got to take a deeper look into his future off the field. Kahoun and his family were able to dive into the admissions process and potential majors. 

“We had a great meeting with Admissions,” Kahoun explained. “We talked about future degree focus areas. We also had time in front of a professor at the Mendoza College of Business which was great. His message was about setting goals and challenging yourself.” 

Kahoun announced his commitment to Notre Dame on May 15th, so there weren’t any concerns about him being all in on the Irish, but the trip also confirmed he made the right decision. 

“100 percent for me and my family,” Kahoun said when asked if the latest trip to Notre Dame confirmed he made the right choice.
