Notre Dame Lands St. John's Grad Transfer OF David Glancy
Notre Dame baseball has added a key piece to the roster for next season as St. John’s graduate transfer outfielder David Glancy has committed to the Fighting Irish.
Last season, Glancy hit .284 with an OPS of 1.008 with 14 doubles, one triple and 13 home runs while adding 37 RBI. He recorded a team-high 25 hits and 24 runs scored in Big East play, while also recording five or more RBI twice in conference play.
Glancy was named All-Big East second team for his efforts in 2023 and will finish his career at St. John’s with 29 home runs, which ranks him fourth in program history. The New Jersey native also scored five times against Butler.
The 6-foot, 200-pounder hit 11 home runs, 10 doubles, one triple and .294 from the plate as a redshirt sophomore in 2022, which included starting all 55 games for the Red Storm.
Glancy attended high school at Red Bank Catholic, which is also the alma mater of Notre Dame tight end Kevin Bauman and future NFL Hall of Famer Quenton Nelson.
Notre Dame’s newest addition is currently playing for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod league this summer. Glancy is currently batting .250 with five hits, one double, two home runs, five RBI, two walks and two stolen bases in five games for the Gatemen.
And stay tuned as Notre Dame is just getting started this week on the recruiting trail.
