UCLA Grad Transfer Josh Hahn Commits to Notre Dame
Carter Putz’s time in South Bend came to an end last month and it left a significant void on the Notre Dame roster.
Notre Dame took a big step in filling that spot as UCLA graduate transfer Joshua Hahn has committed to Shawn Stiffler and the Fighting Irish.
Hahn appeared in 31 games with 19 starts while batting .326 with 28 hits, three doubles, one home run and 12 RBI in 2023.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder will bring 115 games of experience (66 starts), but also an important lefty bat to the Notre Dame lineup.
Hahn can also play outfield and DH, which are also areas Notre Dame needs some depth heading into the fall. The California native also made 13 appearances on the mound for the Bruins as he tallied 10.0 innings pitched, six strikeouts and an ERA of 9.00.
For his career, Hahn recorded a batting average of .256 with 67 hits, 39 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 51 RBI and an on-base percentage of .359.
Hahn graduated from Huntington Beach High School.
