2026 DE/LB Elijah Golden Talks Notre Dame Camp Experience
As a prospect in the Class of 2026, it’s still early in the recruiting process for Elijah Golden.
But not too early for the Virginia defensive end/linebacker to start reeling in scholarship offers.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder already has offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Duke and Pitt.
Earlier this month, he made it to South Bend for one of Notre Dame’s Evaluation Camps.
“It went very well,” Golden said. “I got to see a lot of different techniques and how to strike the pads and using your hips when you strike the pads and new things I can learn and practice on, on my own.”
He appreciated learning from the Irish staff, especially defensive line coach Al Washington.
“I liked their personalities,” said Golden, who recently transferred to IMG Academy.
“They were very respectful. I like Coach Washington. He has high energy and he knows how to teach.”
The feedback Golden received was positive as well.
“They said that I'm very skilled for my class and also I have good get-off for my position,” said Golden.
Golden doesn’t know when exactly, but intends to return to South Bend.
“I'm going to try to come back up to Notre Dame for a visit and to talk to the coaches and to hang out with them more,” he said.
Golden has also camped at North Carolina and is looking to get to Florida as well.
