2025 LB Dom Hulak Planning Yet Another Notre Dame Visit

Dom Hulak‍ was back in South Bend for another Notre Dame camp last week, when he was able to work with Al Washington, Al Golden, Max Bullough and the rest of the Irish coaching staff.

“It went well,” the 2025 Illinois defender says.

Well enough that he’s already considering another trip back down.

“I think working with Coach Washington at d-line and Coach Bullough at linebacker and talking with Coach Golden, everything just connected and the way they see me playing there,” he says.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder got a better understanding of how the Irish envision using him if he were to play for them.

“They see me as a linebacker, but at the same time, I'm a versatile d-end or like a standup outside linebacker who's on the edge, pass rushing and everything,” says Hulak.

The Immaculate Conception standout likes the sound of that.

“I just like running and getting to the ball, so I'll do anything to make the play and get through anybody and just show what I'm about,” he says. “Just being able to move around the defense, knowing what I'm doing.”

He also enjoyed the opportunity to be coached by the Notre Dame coaches.

“They were definitely very straightforward,” Hulak says. “They coached you. Maybe it was one little thing, they saw that little thing that you messed up on and they fixed it right away and just kept helping you to get it right.”

In addition to Notre Dame, Hulak has offers from Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Iowa State and Louisville.

He hasn’t completely nailed down his visit plans for the end of the month yet, but said he expects top be back in South Bend for the Irish’s BBQ event on July 30th.

He hopes to learn more about the education at Notre Dame during his next visit.

“I know everything about the football program, so now it's really just like the school,” he says.

He thinks he’ll be at Wisconsin on July 29th and is hoping to find a date to get to Michigan State soon as well.

Hulak doesn’t have a firm timeline for a decision yet.

“Not really, but sometime around this time next year.”
