2025 DL Juju Marks Talks First Notre Dame Experience
Juju Marks didn’t have an offer from Notre Dame when he arrived in South Bend for last month’s Grill & Chill event, but it was no surprise when the 2025 Kansas defensive lineman announced he’d received one after the event.
“They pulled me aside during one of the little mini games and basically let me know that I had an offer,” the 6-foot-7, 260-pounder told Irish Sports Daily.
“Excited and blessed, but always humble.”
Marks also has offers from schools like Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan. Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington and USC among several others.
Marks enjoyed his first look at Notre Dame.
“It was pretty good; great presentations, great staff,” he said. “We toured part of the campus. We just really took a lot of time talking with each other and the coaches.”
The coaches were certainly impressive.
“They were genuine,” he said. “They were fun to be around, knowledgeable.”
Head coach Marcus Freeman especially stood out.
“Energetic, knows what he is talking about, cares about you outside of football,” Marks said of Freeman.
The St. Thomas Aquinas High School standout isn’t sure what the next step is for him and the Irish.
“We'll see what the future holds, but we'll keep in contact for sure,” he said before adding he’s likely to be back for a game in the fall.
“I like it. It's a beautiful facility. It's a beautiful campus, tradition. It reminds me of my high school in a lot of ways.”
