2024 LB Commit Teddy Rezac Ready For Season, Notre Dame Return

Teddy Rezac‍ has big goals for his senior season at Westside (Neb.) High School, but the 2024 Notre Dame linebacker commit and his teammates know they need to remain in the moment.

“I think really just get better every day,” Rezac says of the goals for his squad this season. “We're not trying to look too far ahead, just kind of foot by foot, climb the mountain.”

Rezac believes if his team errs on the side of aggression, they’ll be in good shape.

“If everybody out there is just as aggressive as they can be, I think it'll be a good situation for our defense to be in,” he says.

As for personal goals, Rezac has some, but acknowledges they take a backseat to the team.

“Obviously All-State, Super State, that's a personal goal,” he says. “But really none of that matters if we don't win the state championship. So, I'm just trying to build every day to get there.”

Rezac is hoping for his best season yet after an offseason of work.

“I think I got a lot stronger and faster,” he says. “And then just being a better leader for sure. I think I've elevated holding people accountable and helping out people while being on the field a lot from last year to this year.”

The 6-foot-4, 194-pounder is planning to be back in South Bend for at least one game, maybe two this fall.

“I'm going up to Ohio State game for sure, and then maybe the USC game,” he says. “I'm not sure about that, but I'll be up there no doubt for Ohio State.”

The Ohio State game is clearly going to be Notre Dame’s showcase game for recruits this year.

“Every commit said they're going to it,” Rezac says. “A bunch of recruits I've talked to said they're going to it.”

That includes Rezac’s Westside teammate and friend, top 2025 linebacker target Christian Jones‍.

Rezac is mostly looking forward to getting even closer with the members of Notre Dame’s 2024 recruiting class.

“I think it'll be really cool just to get the feel of the gameday experience, especially a night game,” he says. “It'll be fun to connect with all those dudes again, especially the ones I didn't get to meet when I was on my official visit.

“We've all got a group chat that we text in pretty often. Obviously, I'm closer to the dudes who I hung out with on my official visit, but I'm hoping that I'll get to meet a couple other guys and get close to them.”
