2025 WR Eugene Hilton Set To See Notre Dame

Eugene Hilton‍ doesn’t know a ton about Notre Dame just yet, which is a major reason why the 2025 Indiana receiver is set to be in South Bend on Saturday for the Irish’s home opener against Tennessee State.

“Me and one of the recruiting guys were talking for a little minute and he mentioned something about the game,” the Zionsville High School standout said. “So I told my parents about it and they were all for it.

“I know Notre Dame has a really good history, so I just want to go and check it out. As of right now, I don't really know too much about them. I want to learn about the coaches. I don't really know too much about the coaches as of right now and just learn what they're all about as a program.”

This will be the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder’s first trip to Notre Dame. He’s also planning to make trips to Cincinnati, Kentucky and Ole Miss soon.

Hilton has more than a dozen offers from schools like Miami, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue, Indiana, Georgia Tech and West Virginia among others.

“It can be comforting at times, but you've just got to keep your head down and keep it going,” he says of the early offers. It just shows that the work that I've put in so far is all paid off.”

Hilton has an idea of what he’s looking for in a school.

“Number one would be the coaching staff and the guys who are going to be around me because the season's long and then right after the season, you're almost kind of back in it,” he says. “It's just like the guys I'm going to be around that's going to be surrounding me.

“That's really it for me, just the people that I'm going to be around every day.”

Hilton is also receiving recruiting advice from his father and longtime NFL star receiver T.Y. Hilton.

“He's just telling me to take it slow and enjoy the process,” Hilton says of his father.

Hilton also receives advice on playing the position.

“Just understanding the little details that no one ever really mentions about watching the game, just the little things that he helps me with and it makes it easier when you go out there and you play.”
