2025 CB Mason Alexander Ready To Get Look At Notre Dame
Mason Alexander has heard about Notre Dame.
Now, the 2025 Indiana cornerback wants to see it for himself.
“I'm not going to lie, I know some things about Notre Dame, but I don't know a lot,” he says.
“One of their commits, one of my teammates, Styles Prescod was telling me about them. He was telling me how good of a school they are, and I should probably come up for a game.”
The 6-foot, 160-pounder will do just that when he makes the trip up to South Bend for the Irish’s home opener against Tennessee State on Saturday.
“Styles was telling me how they wanted me to come down for a visit,” Alexander says. “They wanted me to come down for the game. I was supposed to go down there for a game last year, but I had some family stuff going on, so I never made it.
“I just want to see what the environment is like down there. It's still in Indiana, it's still near home, but I want to get a feel for the coaches and all the facilities and stuff they have that everyone else doesn't.”
Alexander has an impressive early offer sheet that includes schools like Auburn, Florida, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Indiana and Purdue among others.
“It feels amazing,” he acknowledges. “A year ago, sophomore year, I wouldn't expect me to be here. I expected this late senior year, but the recruiting process, all of it is just amazing.”
College coaches like the package he brings to the position.
“Usually when I get on the phone with a coach, they'll say they like my patience, my speed and my ability to move my feet,” says Alexander. “Most of it's just speed and then being able to tackle. They say it's kind of rare to find a corner who can cover and hit.”
Alexander is set to visit Cincinnati in a couple weeks.
Cincinnati is one school that keeps in consistent contact with him along with Purdue and Wisconsin, but he doesn’t have any leaders or favorite schools just yet.
