2025 LB Grant Beerman Enjoys Notre Dame Home Opener
Grant Beerman arrived late, but the 2025 Ohio linebacker still enjoyed his trip to Notre Dame for the Irish’s home opener on Saturday.
“It was good,” Beerman told Irish Sports Daily. “I had a film session early (Saturday) morning from 8-10, so by the time I got there, it was around 3:30, the start of the game.
“I got there right on time, but I did miss some of the pregame stuff with the coaches and recruiters, so that was kind of a bummer. But besides that, I had a really good time, me and my dad, and my buddy Joel.”
The Lakota West High School standout was impressed with Notre Dame Stadium and the Irish’s performance.
“I thought it was a great atmosphere,” the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder said. “It was awesome being down there, especially so close to the field. That was awesome.
“I thought they played great. They look like a really, really good team this year. Now they actually have a really great QB in Sam Hartman. I think they're going to shock a lot of people.”
Beerman already has offers from schools like Cincinnati, Duke, Boston College, Pitt and Purdue among others.
He knows from experience that Notre Dame isn’t always the first school in, but can still be the last. He saw how things worked out with former teammate and current Notre Dame safety Ben Minich as well as current teammate and Irish safety commit Taebron Bennie-Powell.
“What (the Irish) said earlier - during camp season - is their plan was the same as Ben and Taebron and that was to get me down for a game and then get me back on campus later this season or next season,” Beerman said.
“Coming from Ben and Taebron, they got offered for senior seasons and then committed right after, it's definitely reassuring that I just have to be patient for it to come.”
Beerman is planning to visit Pittsburgh next week. He expects to get back to South Bend again, but doesn’t have anything set yet.
