2024 In-State INF Noah Coy Commits to Notre Dame

Notre Dame baseball recruiting is still on its hot streak as 2024 Center Grove (ind.) two-sport star Noah Coy has committed to the Fighting Irish.

“I play with a couple of players, Jayce (Lee), RJ (Cromartie) and Cam Sullivan,” Coy told ISD. “I grew up with a lot of the guys. The academic part and the history of the program are super hard to pass up. They have a really good class coming in and a really good culture.

“I love Logan (Robbins) and all the coaches. I think I can really develop there as a player and a person.”

The Indiana Bulls program has produced several Notre Dame commits in 2024 and 2025, so there is an added comfort factor that Coy will be around players he is extremely familiar with at Notre Dame.

“It’s definitely reassuring knowing you’ve played with a couple of guys and you get along, but also have chemistry,” stated Coy. “That’s a huge plus. It was one of the reasons that made it really easy to come to Notre Dame.”

Notre Dame head coach Shawn Stiffler and assistant Logan Robbins made Coy feel right at home as they were able to build a bond over the last month. Coy will be on campus this weekend for the Ohio State game and he’s looking forward to getting to know the Irish staff even better.

“I’ve had a couple calls with Coach Stiffler,” explained Coy. “It’s been a lot of Robbins because of the craziness of the fall. I’m getting up there on Saturday to meet them in person. Just talking to them over the phone, hearing the plans for me is definitely everything I want in a baseball coach and future program for the next four years.”

It’s also not a surprise that Coy highlighted Robbins as every recruit has been impressed with the former WKU star.

“Overall, he’s one of the best recruiters I’ve talked to,” Coy said. “He’s been selling Notre Dame is family. You might be here to play baseball, but you’re also here for other things Notre Dame has to offer. He means business, but he makes you feel really comfortable.

“He’s done a phenomenal job with this class and the class before. I can’t say enough good things about him.”

The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder will play infield for Stiffler and Coy has been extremely productive for Center Grove over the last two seasons.

As a junior, Coy hit .370 with 37 hits, 39 runs, 27 RBI, six doubles, four triples and two home runs. For his career, the Indiana native has hit .370 with 58 hits and 72 runs scored.

Coy’s productivity doesn’t stop on the baseball field as he’s already Center Grove’s all-time leading receiver as it relates to career receptions, yards and touchdowns. The two-sport star has registered 108 receptions for 1,855 yards and 20 touchdowns in 28 career games. Coy has tallied 39 catches for 590 yards and six touchdowns through five games as a senior.

“I had a lot of interest going into it,” Coy said of football. “I was always pretty sure I wanted to play baseball, but there was some opportunity there. I think the opportunity at Notre Dame was too good to pass up.”

And like most of Notre Dame’s commits, Coy is more than ready to prove Midwest kids can play with the best team in the country.

“I think our class can really compete on a national level,” said Coy. “I go back to the Future’s Games before me, Jayce and Rj were committed. We played teams from Texas and California. I don’t think we lost any games. Playing that national schedule and having that chip on our shoulder that Midwest guys can’t play at the same level as guys in the South is definitely something we’re out to prove wrong in the ACC.”
