Notre Dame Weekend Recruiting Preview | 2025 Offensive Skill Prospects

Saturday’s game against Ohio State isn’t just the biggest game on Notre Dame’s schedule this season, it also represents the biggest recruiting event for the Irish this season.

Notre Dame will be hosting dozens of prospects from across the country in multiple classes for the primetime atmosphere.

Here’s a look at some of the top offensive skill prospects with Irish offers who are expected to be in attendance.

2025 Arkansas RB Daniel Anderson

Anderson arrived in South Bend for Irish Invasion back in June with one offer on his sheet and that was from Long Island. He left with two; Long Island and Notre Dame.

The offer came as a major surprise to most, but was very much real. Anderson returned to South Bend for the Irish’s Grill & Chill a month later and even with offers from schools like Tennessee and Mississippi State coming in since, Notre Dame seems to be the team to beat.

He’s made visits to Arkansas, Arkansas State and Auburn so far, but doesn’t have any other trips locked in beyond this weekend.

We do believe the Irish would take a commitment from Anderson if he wanted to give one this weekend and while some in his camp have hinted he could do just that, others seem to think patience could be the way to go.

Still, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see the Irish pair Anderson with current running back commit Justin Thurman‍ and shut down the position early.

“I think it's going to be very exciting to get to watch that game, especially as big as it is,” Anderson told ISD this week. “The energy there is going to be crazy. I'm just very excited to see it.”

Anderson has remained in steady contact with Chad Bowden and Dre Brown since his last visit.

2025 Georgia WR Jerome Bettis Jr.

The son of the Irish legend has seemingly been on Commit Watch since he was offered back in March and not much has changed since.

He has never been shy about how high Notre Dame is on his list and I’ve yet to have any source identify a school that is even close to Notre Dame in this race.

He’s been to South Bend several times since being offered. He also has offers from schools like Georgia Tech, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas A&M, but unless something dramatically changes, it seems like only a matter of time before he ends up choosing his father’s alma mater.

2025 Arizona WR Cooper Perry

Perry is expected back in town for the first time since he visited back in March.

He’s not planning many visits this fall, and certainly not many out of the state, so it feels important that he chose to make the effort to get to South Bend for this one. It’s obvious Notre Dame is making him a priority with multiple staff members forming relationships with him.

Perry’s offer sheet also includes schools like Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Michigan State and Wisconsin among others.

2025 Illinois WR Talyn Taylor

Taylor is a true top-of-the-board type of target for the Irish. He’s already been to South Bend twice, once in the spring and again for Grill & Chill.

The Irish will have to beat schools like Georgia, USC, UCLA along with Midwestern schools like Wisconsin and Illinois among others and nobody expects this to be wrapped up anytime soon.

But, Notre Dame understands how to play the long game as well and getting Taylor in town for a primetime showcase game is a no-brainer.
