Does ND Have the Talent on Defense to Win 10 Games?

The most recent golden age of Notre Dame football was almost 30 years ago. It was the last time there was sustained excellence.

From 1988 to 1993, Lou Holtz' program won at least 10 games in five of those six seasons. The other season they won 9. The win totals were 64 overall over that span and it also included a national championship.

The Irish have won 10 or more only four times since then. It's easy to see why fans have been frustrated.
