Before this game, Duke’s defense was second in points per drive, fifth in yards per play, first in yards per attempt, and fourth in pass efficiency.

That wasn’t a fluke. They proved on Saturday night they have a very good defense and a very good defensive line. Mike Elko and Tyler Santucci had a great plan and their players executed it well.

Notre Dame couldn’t find answers to many of the problems Duke’s defense presented.
