As poorly as most feel about the offense, Notre Dame fans should be extremely excited about the defense. They continue to play and coach at a high level.

They only allowed 14 points on 12 drives, continued to get stops in the red zone, and dominated for long stretches.

Though Riley Leonard did find some success running the football as expected, they kept him in the pocket for most of the game and had him flustered as a passer.
