Linkon Cure‍ could be the most intriguing recruit visiting Notre Dame for this weekend’s game against USC.

The 2025 Kansas tight end has zoomed up the Irish’s radar recently while the 6-foot-6, 215-pounder already has offers from schools like Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida and Oregon among others.

“They've been recruiting me for a while and just asking me to get up for a game,” Cure says of the Irish. “I definitely wanted to make a visit up there. I've heard great things about Notre Dame, so as soon as I knew I had an open weekend, I got something scheduled. I'm excited to be there.

“I really like just the culture of it, the history of it, being a Catholic school. I'm a Catholic. Obviously, academics there are very good and then obviously the football has me very interested.”

Cure says most of his communications have been Notre Dame recruiting associate Caleb Davis with a little bit of contact with Irish offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Gerad Parker.

Cure is looking forward to learning more this weekend.

“I want to learn a lot about the history,” he says. “I know Notre Dame has a really successful history, so I want to learn about that a little bit. I want to really learn and pay attention to how they're using their tight ends, where I can see myself at and where I can see how they'd use me.”

He doesn’t have an offer from Notre Dame yet, but it’s certainly possible one comes his way soon.

“It would mean everything,” says Cure. “That's one of the big-time offers to have. Having that under my belt would obviously be a top option for me to go to college. So it would mean a lot to me.”

Coaches like the combination of size, speed, power and athleticism Cure brings to the field.

“They're really impressed with my speed and elusiveness,” he says. “Even beyond that, I can show off a lot of power. I love making guys miss, but I also love running through guys. They're really impressed with my speed. I run track and my time in the 40 is a 4.5, so they're just really impressed with how fast I am on the field.”

He’s already made trips to Kansas State, Penn State and Nebraska this fall and has a trip to Oregon coming up as well. He plans on being at Kansas for a game, but doesn’t have a date locked in yet.

Cure doesn’t have a timeline for narrowing his list or making a decision, but expects to start formulating favorites “pretty soon.”
