Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman spoke for the final time before Saturday's game with No. 10 USC. 

On the challenge USC’s running game presents: 
”It’s a challenge. They have a stable of good running backs, a good offensive line and good scheme. We gotta be able to stop the run and we have to do it in different ways. I think success on defense always starts with being able to stop the run.
